House Fire on Suttnerweg, Badenstedt: A family of five is safely rescued from a blaze, thanks to the use of portable ladders in the city of FW Hannover.
A family of five, along with a neighbour, were rescued from a burning apartment in Badenstedt, Hannover, at around 8:20 PM last night. The Hannover Fire Department, including two fire engines and the volunteer fire department Badenstedt, responded to the emergency call.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that a neighbour had already begun the rescue efforts. The firefighters proceeded to rescue the father from the burning apartment, while the mother, three children, and the neighbour had been rescued earlier from balconies on the first floor using portable ladders.
The fire in the apartment was extinguished fifteen minutes after the alarm was raised. The Hannover Fire Department had 23 vehicles and 58 personnel on the scene. Ventilation measures were taken following the extinguishing of the fire.
The rescued individuals, including the neighbour, the children, their mother, and the father, were taken to hospitals in Hannover for further examination and treatment. The neighbour, the children, and their mother suffered from smoke inhalation, while the father had minor burns.
The police have started investigations into the cause of the fire, but at this time, the extent of the damage and the cause cannot be determined. The deputy head of the Hannover Fire Department, Gregor Fleischmann, is prepared to provide further information about the event.
