Hundreds of dwellings unveiled at the Gorokhovye pole residential complex in Magadan
In the heart of Magadan, a new settlement of 198 apartments has begun construction, marking a significant step towards addressing economic issues and attracting professionals to the Far East. The project, part of the presidential program "Affordable Rental Housing in the Far East," is expected to be commissioned 11 months ahead of schedule.
This rental housing will be provided to in-demand specialists in the region, including healthcare workers, scientists, cultural and sports professionals, educators, and more. The initiative is expected to help attract qualified professionals to Kolyma, aiding the development of various industries that urgently need professionals.
The key handover ceremony was attended by Magadan Oblast Governor Sergei Nosov and Deputy General Director of DOM.RF Denis Filippov. Speaking at the event, Denis Filippov highlighted the program's role in addressing social issues like housing for in-demand specialists, creating new families, and improving demographics.
The new microdistrict will feature a school, kindergarten, educational and rehabilitation centres, as per Sergei Nosov. Additionally, Magadan is also building a sports and health complex, ski jump complex, and a ski stadium as part of the broader initiative.
The rental housing project is not the only development in the pipeline. Another house with 230 apartments is planned to be commissioned in the "Gorokhovoe Pole" residential complex next year. Due to federal and regional budget subsidies, the monthly rent for the smallest apartment (around 31 sq. m) will be 8,100 rubles, and for the largest (71 sq. m) - 18,600 rubles.
The Magadan rental housing project is part of a comprehensive strategy to improve the region's demographics and attract qualified professionals. It is expected to contribute to the attraction of professionals to the region, helping to address economic problems such as reducing population outflow from the Far East and attracting professionals to these territories.
