Hungarian-Polish: Unlawful Acquisition of Toothbrushes
In Hagen, Germany, a 42-year-old man has been provisionally arrested following a suspected theft at a local drugstore branch. The incident occurred on Graf-von-Galen-Ring, where the man visited the store.
According to the Hagen Police, a store detective observed the man placing several electric toothbrushes, worth approximately 600 euros, from a well-known brand, into his backpack. The man attempted to leave the store without paying for the toothbrushes, prompting the store detective to stop him.
The man's behaviour was suspicious, as he was trying to be inconspicuous while wandering around the store. The police found the original packaged toothbrushes in his backpack, along with a large knife readily accessible in his possession.
The arrest was due to the man's suspected theft with a weapon and his lack of a fixed address. The stolen goods remained in the store, and a criminal complaint will be filed regarding the incident.
The man, who is known to the police as a homeless individual, admitted to the theft of the electric toothbrushes. He stated his intention to sell the toothbrushes to help make ends meet.
