Experience the vibrant culture and tradition of Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala, right here in Hyderabad. This year, several restaurants are offering Onam Sadhya and Onam Food Fest, allowing you to savour the richness of Kerala's culinary heritage.

For those seeking a dining experience, Gaurang's Kitchen in Jubilee Hills offers a Pure Veg Onam Sadhya on September 5. The meal costs Rs 1,250 and is available for lunch and dinner, from 12 pm to 3 pm and 6.30 pm to 10 pm.

Another option is to make your own Onam Sadhya at home with simple recipes available in Hyderabad. If you prefer to dine out, Simply South in Jubilee Hills offers over 20 delights for Onam Sadhya, priced at Rs 1,667+ GST per person, available from September 4 to 6, from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm.

The Park Hyatt Hyderabad, Banjara Hills, is also participating in the Onam festivities with an exclusive one-day lunch spread featuring 22 mouth-watering dishes, but the price and exact date are yet to be announced.

At Tuya in Jubilee Hills, enjoy a vegetarian Onam Sadhya for Rs 999 per person, available on September 5 and 6, from 12 pm to 11 pm.

Sa.Ma- The Indian Kitchen, Film Nagar, offers an Onam Sadhya from August 29 to September 5 (lunch only), but the exact dates and times of availability, as well as the price, are not specified.

Aidu in Jubilee Hills is another option, with their Onam Sadhya available from August 29 to September 5, from 12 pm to 4 pm. This feast offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options at a cost of Rs 595 per person.

For a more extensive celebration, the Onam Food Fest takes place at Food Exchange - Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre, HITEC City. This event offers special brunch and dinner on September 6 and 7, respectively, from 12.30 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 11 pm, priced at Rs 2,999++ for brunch and Rs 2,699++ for dinner.

For those who prefer to prepare Onam Sadhya at home, traditional recipes include Avial (mixed vegetables with coconut), Beetroot Puri, Pumpkin Curry, Aval Payasam (a sweet dish), Tomato Rasam (spicy soup), Kumbalanga Pulissery (pumpkin yogurt curry), Sambar (vegetable stew), Parippu Curry (lentil curry), Mango Curry, Pulissery (yogurt-based curry with coconut), Ellisheri (pumpkin with lentils), Thoran (vegetables with grated coconut), Inji Curry (sweet and spicy ginger chutney), and Payasam (a sweet dessert).
