The Hyundai Aura SX trim has received a significant update, adding several new features to enhance its appeal in the competitive compact sedan segment.

Starting with the exterior, the Hyundai Aura SX now boasts projector headlamps, adding a touch of sophistication to its design. The trim also comes equipped with 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, giving it a sportier look.

Inside the cabin, the Aura SX trim features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, providing a more interactive driving experience. For added convenience, the trim also includes smart key with push-button start/stop and automatic climate control.

The Aura SX trim also offers a reverse parking camera with static guidelines, making parking a breeze. Additionally, Hyundai has equipped the SX trim with an AMT option for those who prefer an automatic transmission.

Under the hood, the Aura SX trim is powered by a 1197 cc petrol engine that produces 82 bhp and 114 Nm. For those opting for the CNG version, the engine is detuned to produce 68 bhp and 95 Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is paired with both the petrol and CNG engines.

The Hyundai Aura SX update aims to compete better against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze in the segment. However, it's important to note that the Tata Tigor, another competitor, has a slightly larger 1199 cc engine but does not have specific details about its power output available.

It's also worth mentioning that other automakers, including Mahindra, Renault, Mercedes-Benz, and Tata Motors, have announced price reductions effective from September 22, 2025. Hyundai, too, has announced price reductions across its product range following the GST rate cut, but no specific adjustments have been announced for the Hyundai Aura lineup as of now.

Recently, Hyundai introduced special editions of the Creta, Alcazar, Creta Electric, and i20, indicating a focus on expanding its product portfolio. Meanwhile, the Mahindra BE 6, a competitor in the electric vehicle segment, boasts a 79 kWh battery and offers a driving range of 682 km.

In conclusion, the Hyundai Aura SX update brings several new features to the table, making it a more attractive option in the compact sedan segment. With its improved design, enhanced interior, and powerful engine, the Aura SX is well-positioned to compete with its rivals.
