Ice dancing champions Guillaume Cizeron and Laurence Fournier Beaudry capture the spotlight with their stellar performance.

In an exciting turn of events, the new skating pair of Guillaume Cizeron and Laurence Fournier Beaudry have secured a victory at the Artistic Skating Masters, marking a promising start to their career together and setting their sights on the Milan Olympics.

The Masters, held in Villard-de-Lans (Isère) on August 30, gathered the best French skaters, and Cizeron and Fournier Beaudry did not disappoint. The duo presented two compelling programs, impressing the judges and their competitors alike.

Cizeron, a seasoned skater who previously partnered with Gabriella Papadakis for 20 years, is now partnering with a new dancer, Fournier Beaudry, who is in the process of naturalization. Fournier Beaudry, a Canadian figure skater, is known for her international competitions, including entries in events like the 2025 Grand Prix de France.

Their rhythm dance at the Masters made an impression with a score of 88.54 points on Friday. On Saturday, they showcased a more lyrical aspect with their free dance, set to the soundtrack of the film "The Whale." Their performance earned them 130.53 points, bringing their total score to 219.07 points and securing their victory at the Masters.

The victory was a significant one, as they beat their closest rivals, Evgeniia Lopareva and Geoffrey Brissaud, the current European vice-champions, by 26 points at the Masters. This triumph has further solidified their ambition to target an Olympic gold medal at the Milan Olympics.

The new pairing is in the early stages of their career together, but their promising performances at the Masters have given them confidence ahead of the major events of the season, which will culminate with the Olympics in Milan-Cortina in less than six months.

Fournier Beaudry, who is also undergoing the process of naturalization, is determined to represent her new country on the world stage. With Cizeron's experience and their shared ambition for Olympic glory, the duo is poised to make a significant impact in the world of figure skating.

As they continue to train and compete, skating fans around the world will be eagerly awaiting their next performance, hoping to witness more of the magic that Cizeron and Fournier Beaudry brought to the Artistic Skating Masters.
