Fortuna Düsseldorf pulled off a thrilling comeback to secure a 2-1 victory over Hertha BSC Berlin in a pulsating encounter played in front of 38,912 spectators in Düsseldorf on Saturday, 16th February.

Coach Daniel Thioune made two changes to the starting lineup compared to the 1:1 draw against Hannover 96, with Ísak Jóhannesson and Giovanni Haag returning to the starting lineup after their suspensions. The next game for Fortuna Düsseldorf is the derby at 1. FC Köln on Sunday (23.2.). The kick-off for the derby is at 1:30 PM. Shinta Appelkamp and Matthias Zimmermann had to settle for a place on the bench in the game against Hertha BSC Berlin.
