In the Bundesliga opening match, Dortmund conceded two late goals, ending the game in a 3-3 draw against St. Pauli.

In an electrifying start to the Bundesliga season, Borussia Dortmund and St. Pauli played out a thrilling 3-3 draw on the opening weekend.

The match began with Niko Kovac's Dortmund taking an early lead. Forward Serhou Guirassy, one of five players in Bundesliga history to reach 65 league goals from 102 matches, scored the opening goal in the 34th minute, assisted by Marcel Sabitzer.

Dortmund's lead didn't last long, as St. Pauli equalized just five minutes later. Andreas Hountondji scored the equalizer after Danel Sinani capitalized on a mistake by Daniel Svensson near the box.

In the second half, Dortmund restored their lead with a goal from Walter Anton in the 67th minute. Anton's goal was slightly deflected past St. Pauli keeper Nikola Vasilj, who had previously saved a penalty from Guirassy in the 39th minute.

However, St. Pauli refused to give up. Danel Sinani scored a penalty in the 86th minute, also resulting in Dortmund's Filippo Mane receiving a straight red card. The equalizing goal for St. Pauli came in the 89th minute, with captain Eric Smith scoring from the edge of the box.

In a dramatic finale, St. Pauli completed their two-goal comeback in the 90th minute with a goal from Smith once more. This result leaves Borussia Dortmund searching for their first win of the season, while St. Pauli will be buoyed by their remarkable comeback.

Meanwhile, last season's runners-up Bayer Leverkusen lost 2-1 to Hoffenheim in their opening match on Saturday. Elsewhere, champions Bayern Munich started the season with a dominant 6-0 win over RB Leipzig on Friday.
