In the vicinity of Biberach, Germany, on a Sunday afternoon, two drivers were caught exceeding the speed limit substantially.

In the region of Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, two drivers found themselves on the wrong side of the law this week, as they were caught speeding by the local authorities.

On Tuesday at 13:45, a 47-year-old man driving a BMW was caught speeding at 138 km/h on the B30 in Hochdorf by police from Biberach Police Station. This is significantly above the speed limit of 100 km/h in the area.

Just two hours later, at 15:00, a 55-year-old Nissan driver was caught speeding at 107 km/h on the bypass road towards Hubertus-Liebrecht-Straße in Warthausen, where the speed limit is 70 km/h.

The Police Headquarters Ulm, the authority responsible for the region, is taking these incidents seriously. Chief Commissioner Michael Vogel, the head of the Ulm Police Headquarters, emphasised the importance of adhering to speed limits to ensure road safety.

Speeding remains one of the main causes of accidents, and the consequences can be severe. Both drivers now face a fine of at least 200 euros, one point in Flensburg, and a one-month driving ban.

The police carry out speed checks around the clock to increase road safety. They advise drivers to slow down, not to underestimate their own abilities, and to account for others' mistakes to ensure everyone arrives safely.
