In the wee hours, a 29-year-old individual was taken into custody by Polish law enforcement officials.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested by the Hesse police following an early-morning break-in and alleged sexual assault in an apartment on Pfungstädter Straße, Griesheim, on August 16, 2025.
The suspect, who is believed to have taken valuable items from the apartment, displayed aggressive behaviour towards the deployed forces. He reportedly threw objects and knives at them. Due to indications of weapon possession and his continued display of a knife, special forces were deployed to apprehend him.
Clues obtained during the immediate investigation led to the identification of the suspect. He was located in an apartment in Schaafgasse. The woman living in the apartment woke up, causing the man to flee. He was apprehended around 10:15 am and sustained minor injuries.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital for a medical examination and will now have to answer to multiple charges. The investigation by the public prosecutor's office and Darmstadt Kommissariat 10 continues.
