In the wee hours of the morning, a tragic house fire claimed the lives of three teenagers, according to the authorities, with multiple family households reportedly affected.

In a heartbreaking incident, a house fire in Sioux County, Iowa, has claimed the lives of three teenagers and left another in critical condition. The tragic event occurred at around 5 a.m. on Monday in a rural area northwest of Granville, Iowa.

Upon entering the residence, firefighters found four individuals in critical condition. Sadly, three of them, aged 16 and 17, have since passed away. The victims have been identified as Kolten Hofmeyer (16), Bryleigh Koob (16), and Ashton Koob (17). The fourth victim, also 16, is currently in a critical condition at a hospital burn unit in Minnesota.

The house fire was so intense that heavy smoke was visible upon the arrival of firefighters. Firefighters from nearby communities were called to assist in extinguishing the fire, but no new information about their efforts has been provided.

The criminal police in Iowa are currently investigating the origin of the house fire. The Iowa State Fire Marshal is also investigating the cause of the fire. The sheriff has asked for community support and prayers for those affected by the house fire.

Sheriff Jamie Van Voorst described the incident as "heavy, heartbreaking, and overwhelming." He has also requested that people continue to pray for those affected by the house fire in the upcoming weeks.

In response to the tragedy, faculty, staff members, clergy, and pastoral support will be available at the area high school for those affected. School officials with the MOC-Floyd Valley Community School District will provide support at the school.

This house fire has affected several families and a large community in Sioux County, Iowa. The sheriff has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and asked for the community's continued support during this difficult time.
