In the past week, several incidents of theft and fraud have been reported in the Fulda region. The Police Headquarters East Hesse is seeking tips regarding these incidents and urges individuals to be vigilant.

On August 30, an 86-year-old senior citizen from a Fulda suburb was defrauded by individuals posing as police officers. The perpetrator is described as a female, approximately 170 cm tall, approximately 30-35 years old, with long dark hair, wearing a dark short-sleeved top, and driving a dark small car. The fraudsters claimed to be a bank employee and a police officer, threatening an imminent break-in. Fortunately, the senior citizen saw through the fraudulent approach and did not grant access to the house.

A 94-year-old senior citizen from Hünfeld was also contacted by fraudsters on the same day. The Police Headquarters East Hesse continues to seek tips regarding these incidents.

Over the weekend from August 30 to September 1, a group of perpetrators committed theft from several businesses and an inn in the Fulda region, stealing money and other valuables. Unknown individuals broke into a nail salon in Heinrichstraße, Fulda, between August 30 and September 1, stealing cash in the low three-digit range. Unknown individuals also entered an inn on a campsite in Dippach street, Hundsbach district, Tann, and stole several packs of cigarettes and coins in the high two-digit range. Damage to property amounted to around 350 euros.

The perpetrator fled with gold coins, an EC card, and cash in the mid-three-digit range. Unknown individuals also damaged a black VW Touran parked on a parking lot in Walahfridstraße, Fulda, in the night of August 31 to September 1, causing property damage of around 250 euros.

The police warns that fraud is diverse and urges individuals to contact them immediately if they receive suspicious calls. The police will never call and demand the handover of money or valuables.
