Increase in Kansas casino revenues by 3.9% compared to the same period last year, reported in August

In the gaming landscape of Kansas, the four commercial casinos reported a collective revenue of $37.3 million last month, according to the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission.

Leading the pack was Hollywood Casino, which generated the highest revenue of $15.1 million. This represents a 4.2% year-over-year increase from $14.5 million in the same month last year. The revenue from electronic gaming machines at Hollywood Casino rose significantly, from $12.9 million to $13.4 million, while the revenue from table games increased slightly from $1.59 million to $1.6 million.

Hollywood Casino's revenue growth, however, is not accompanied by clear information about the general manager during the past month. While Kevin Glass was recently appointed as general manager for Palms Casino Resort, no such information about the Hollywood Casino in Kansas could be found in the available search results.

Kansas Crossing Casino reported a revenue of $3.5 million last month, a 0.3% increase year-over-year from $3.2 million. Table games at Kansas Crossing Casino yielded $258,449 last month, while electronic gaming machines made up $3.2 million of the total revenue.

However, table games at Kansas Star Casino dropped 31.9% from $2.5 million to $1.7 million. Contrastingly, the revenue from electronic gaming machines rose from $11.6 million to $12.9 million.

These figures highlight a mixed picture of growth and decline among Kansas' commercial casinos, offering a fascinating glimpse into the state's gaming industry.
