Increased Involvement of Young Generations

In a significant move for the city of Landshut, Eike Brenner has joined the Municipal Youth Work team as an additional youth worker. Brenner, who previously built community youth work in the district of Dingolfing-Landau, will now be a full-time contact person for co-determination for the city's young people.

Brenner's primary focus lies in youth participation and youth policy. He aims to involve young people in local political decisions with the motto "Shape your city." This approach was showcased at the Youth Council event held in cooperation with the City Youth Ring, where plans for redesigning street basketball courts and other youth spaces in the city were discussed.

Young people can actively participate in the planning of these redesigned spaces. The Youth Council, in collaboration with the City Gardening Office, is working to make these changes a reality.

Brenner's email for contact is jugendarbeit@our website, and his contact details, including social media channels, are available for communication.

On-site meetings have already been held, such as at the street basketball court in the Wolfgangsiedlung, demonstrating Brenner's commitment to engaging with young people in their communities.

A kick-off event for the planned Youth Council was held at the end of April, marking the beginning of this exciting initiative. As Brenner takes on his new role, he is committed to fostering a youth-centric approach and empowering young people to shape their city.
