India and Pakistan could potentially face off three times in significant matches during the Asia Cup 2025.

The much-anticipated Asia Cup 2025, a Twenty20 event, is set to begin on Tuesday. The tournament, which will culminate in Dubai on September 28, promises to be an exciting spectacle with some enthralling matchups.

The tournament features two groups: Group A and Group B. Group A consists of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka, while Group B includes Bangladesh, Oman, Hong Kong, and the UAE. The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Four round before the final.

The highlight of the tournament is undoubtedly the India-Pakistan clash. The two nations have a rich history in cricket, and their encounters are always a treat for the fans. Interestingly, India has a dominant record over Pakistan in T20 internationals, having won 10 out of 13 meetings.

However, the absence of key players like Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan could make Pakistan vulnerable against India's experienced line-up. Pakistan will be without these players due to poor form.

The India-Pakistan match will take place in Dubai on September 14. It's possible that these two teams may have as many as three encounters due to their group placement.

Five full members of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) - India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan - qualified automatically for the tournament. Hong Kong, Oman, and hosts UAE qualified through the ACC Men's Premier Cup.

India, the defending champion of the Asia Cup, will be led by Suryakumar Yadav in this year's tournament. The Asia Cup is a prestigious event, and all teams will be aiming to lift the trophy.

The tournament will open with Afghanistan and Hong Kong facing off in Abu Dhabi. The Asia Cup 2025 promises to be an exciting event, and cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the action to begin.
