Individual under investigation for suspected drug distribution in Calgary

In a significant development, a 30-year-old man is facing multiple charges related to drug trafficking and non-compliance with a release order. The news comes after a search warrant was executed on a home in the 400 block of 11 Avenue S.E., Calgary, on August 19.

The search warrant was part of an ongoing drug investigation that began in February this year. During the raid, the police seized significant quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine, along with cash and drug paraphernalia.

The man is alleged to have been involved in the drug trade, and he is facing charges in relation to the seized drugs. The charges against him include possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, and failing to comply with a release order.

The court date for the man is scheduled for Sept. 10. However, there is no specific information available about his appearance in court due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.

The Calgary Police Service is urging anyone with information related to suspected drug trafficking activity in the city to call the police non-emergency line at 403-266-1234. Alternatively, tips can be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through various methods: TALK (1-800-222-8477), TYPE (www.calgarycrimestoppers.org), or APP (P3 Tips).

It's important to note that the investigation leading to this raid began after an individual was stopped by police on January 27. The man's past is not without controversy, with reports of his involvement in drug-related incidents such as the "Kokaintaxi" case in Dortmund and a drug find in a train in Oberbayern, but neither case directly matches the described scenario.

The Calgary Police Service continues to work diligently to combat drug trafficking in the city and appreciates any information from the public that may help in their efforts.
