Indulging in Winter Delights Sponsored by CAB
The College of the Holy Cross community came together last Friday night for a special event hosted by the Campus Activity Board (CAB). The "Winter Treats" event, held at the Hogan Campus Center, was organised by student Sarah Johnson and aimed to foster a sense of community and belonging on campus.
Over 170 students attended the event, which took place during a cold and dark time of the year, and was well-timed since Valentine's Day is coming soon on February 14th. The evening was filled with a variety of activities, including making candy grams, designing cookies, and a popular stuffed animal station where students could customize their own plush toys.
Kieran Corcoran, a member of the CAB since his freshman year, served as the point person for the event. He started preparing for the event last semester, gathering ideas from his committee members. In the past, CAB has brought artists like Drake (in 2010) and The Kid LAROI (this fall) to campus, and they continue to organise opportunities for campus-wide community-building and fun.
The Campus Activities Board is an entirely student-run organisation that provides an inclusive, sober atmosphere for students to interact. They also host numerous themed nights throughout the year, often involving prizes and food.
In exciting news for music lovers, The College of the Holy Cross has announced that Plain White T's will be performing at the 2022 Spring Concert. The rock band, famous for hits such as "Hey There Delilah," is sure to put on a memorable show. Tess and Bella are the duo behind the 2022 Spring Concert.
