Industry Gathers in Nuremberg for Packaging Convention
In September, Nuremberg will once again become the epicentre of the packaging industry as Fachpack 2025 takes place from the 23rd to the 25th. This year's main theme, "Transition in Packaging," promises an exciting exploration of innovative materials, techniques, and processes.
The event will span across eleven halls, with approximately 1,400 exhibitors showcasing their offerings. One of the highlights will be the debut of the "Converting meets Packaging" pavilion, which aims to bring converters and packaging industry professionals together.
Three specialist forums will take centre stage: Packbox, Innovationbox, and Solpack 6.0. Packbox, moderated by industry partners, will focus on regulation, climate change, and the circular economy. Solpack 6.0, curated by Pacoon CEO Peter Desilets, will zero in on sustainable packaging solutions. Innovationbox, moderated by Petra Bindl, will showcase product and process innovations.
Sustainability, resource efficiency, and digitalization will be key aspects of Fachpack 2025. The economic situation remains challenging for the industry due to factors like subdued consumer sentiment, rising raw material prices, and unclear competitive conditions. Fachpack 2025 serves as an important platform for exchange, orientation, and investment decisions.
The "Alternative Packaging Solutions" pavilion will showcase 14 exhibitors offering products like grass and leaf paper, and cereal husk cushioning materials. The "Young Innovators" area will highlight young, innovative companies from the packaging industry, presenting fresh, unconventional ideas and products for packaging solutions. Young companies also have platforms in the "Newcomer Pavilion" at Fachpack.
Networking opportunities will abound, with the FuturePack Summit taking place on the day before Fachpack, promoting networking between start-ups, industry, and investors. The "Labels & more" pavilion will also return, providing a platform for label manufacturers and converters.
The Student Day will take place on September 25, 2025, offering students a chance to engage with the industry and learn about the latest trends and developments. The German Packaging Award will be presented with 37 winners at Fachpack, recognising outstanding achievements in the field.
For those unable to attend in person, Fachpack.TV, live-moderated by packaging journal, will be in Hall 4, providing a virtual window into the event. Additionally, Women4Packaging aims to increase visibility for women in the industry.
Phuong Anh Do, Director of Fachpack at NürnbergMesse, is looking forward to another successful event. "Fachpack 2025 promises to be a vibrant and inspiring event, showcasing the best of the packaging industry's innovation and commitment to sustainability," she said.
With its focus on transition, Fachpack 2025 promises to be a must-attend event for anyone interested in the packaging industry. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a curious student, there's something for everyone at Fachpack 2025.
