Initial Commencement of the Initial School Roadway in Bergisch Gladbach
In a bid to enhance the safety of children and reduce parent taxi traffic, the city of Bergisch Gladbach has announced the introduction of a school street near KGS In der Auen. The idea for this initiative was proposed by the community group Kidical Mass, with Melanie Baierl, the group's initiator, championing the cause.
The city administration has expressed gratitude for the trust placed in their mobility expertise and has acknowledged the openness and willingness to cooperate shown by residents. Ragnar Migenda, a city representative, has also expressed his gratitude to the school, parents, residents, and city administration for their cooperation in the successful start of this initiative.
The goal of the school street is to make the school route safer for children while maintaining the quality of life in the neighbourhood. The city administration will ensure that the measures are fact-based and pragmatically implemented. They will also continue to closely monitor the implementation of these measures to assess their effectiveness and make any necessary adjustments.
The city administration is committed to developing measures that enjoy broad consensus and will engage in dialogue with the people on the ground to discuss and refine the measures. They are working towards solutions created together with all parties involved to ensure the success of this initiative.
If you have any questions or suggestions regarding this initiative, you are encouraged to send them to [email protected]. The city administration looks forward to working with the community to make the school route safer for children and improve the quality of life in the neighbourhood.
