Intense Football Match Erupts in Hefigkofen, Bodenseekreis
On Monday, August 18, 2025, the volunteer fire department of Oberteuringen was called to action. The alarm came in at around 19:00, reporting a burning agricultural machine in Hefigkofen, Kornstraße.
According to a statement issued by the Bodensee District Fire Association e.V., which was originally transmitted by the Bodensee District Fire Association and later published by news aktuell, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently unknown.
Upon arrival, the firefighters found the baler fully engulfed in flames. However, thanks to the quick response, some firefighters were already at the station due to an upcoming training evening, enabling a swift response. The water supply for the firefighting operation was ensured by the local hydrant network.
The firefighters worked diligently, using several hoses and breathing apparatus to extinguish the blaze. The operation lasted until 21:21, with 25 personnel and four vehicles remaining on site.
Before the fire department's arrival, the farmer who owned the machine had towed it onto open ground to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. Unfortunately, the name of the farmer remains unknown in the search results.
