International Alliance of BRICS Nations Pursuing Changes in Global Financial Organizations, Specifically the IMF and World Bank

In a significant development, the BRICS nations - Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa - are working together to strengthen their role in global governance and shape a new vision for the world.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping share strikingly similar views on the vision of a just, multipolar world order, which aims to give greater voice to the "Global Majority." This vision is central to Putin's agenda, as he seeks to reform global financial institutions like the IMF and the World Bank.

Putin and China are also working together to ensure BRICS plays a larger role in shaping world affairs. This collaboration is evident in their joint efforts to reform global financial institutions and create alternative payment systems. The proposed new financial system should be based on openness, equity, and non-discriminatory access.

The BRICS economic bloc is emerging as an alternative to the Western global order. Russia, China, and other BRICS nations are working to reform global financial institutions and create a new global currency. At the 2023 BRICS Summit in South Africa, the BRICS countries presented plans to introduce a new gold-backed digital global currency. This currency is expected to end the use of finance as an instrument of neo-colonialism and discriminatory sanctions.

Ethiopia, Africa's second most-populous country, has officially applied for BRICS membership, further strengthening the bloc's global influence. Putin's official visit to China includes participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit and bilateral talks with Xi Jinping.

Putin's upcoming meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, another founding member of BRICS, is also significant. The leaders are expected to discuss ways to further deepen cooperation within the bloc and strengthen its role in global affairs.

The BRICS nations believe that their collaboration can help create a more equitable and just world order. They are committed to working together to ensure that the voices of the "Global Majority" are heard in global decision-making processes. The future of global governance may well lie in the hands of this powerful economic bloc.
