World Boxing Championships Kick Off in Liverpool with a Star-Studded Lineup
The World Boxing Championships, organised by the World Boxing Federation, are underway in Liverpool, United Kingdom, and are set to be a spectacle of athletic prowess and international competition. Makhmud Sabyrkhan is a promising boxer in the 55 kilograms category, while Sagyndyk Togambay is a world champion in the 50 kilograms category and a strong contender in the 90 kilograms category.
Experts predict that Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Cuba will be the teams to watch, with the potential to contend for most of the medals. These countries, along with Russia and the United States, are considered favourites for the Championships.
The last world championships in 2023 saw Uzbekistan win five gold medals, Kazakhstan four, and Cuba one. With such a competitive field, the 2023 Championships in Liverpool are shaping up to be an exciting and closely contested event.
