Introducing Web3 Laptop Creators Unveil Airdrop Plan
Metavisio Unveils Plans for First Web3 Laptop
European tech company Metavisio is making waves in the tech industry with its announcement of the first Web3 laptop. The project will be handled by Metavisio's subsidiary, Thomson Computing, and is scheduled for introduction by Q1 2025.
The laptop will run on Metavisio's proprietary Web3 OS, offering a seamless experience for users navigating the decentralised web. To ensure the highest level of security, the laptop will feature a Secure Enclave hardware key manager, similar to the technology used by Apple. This hardware key manager isolates cryptographic keys from the main processor, providing an additional layer of security.
The laptop will come in three versions, targeting educational users, gamers, and general consumers. Each version will include a built-in cold wallet, supporting Bitcoin, XRP, Bittensor, and EVM-compatible networks. Users can also earn the Metavisio token by completing tasks within integrated dapps.
While further details on the Metavisio token airdrop are yet to be revealed, the expected price range for the laptops is €499 ($523) to €2000 ($2100).
It's worth noting that Framework, another tech company, is also planning to launch the first Web3 laptop variant in spring 2025. According to Decrypt, the planned models will be priced at $1,049, $1,249, and $1,449.
Metavisio's entry into the Web3 laptop market is a significant step towards mainstream adoption of decentralised technologies. With its focus on security, user-friendly design, and integration of dapps, the Metavisio Web3 laptop is set to redefine the way we interact with the decentralised web.
