The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as Huawei and Chery unveil their first joint venture, the Luxeed. This innovative electric sedan coupé is set to make waves in the industry with its advanced features and sleek design.
The Luxeed boasts a striking exterior, characterised by a C-shaped headlight group and the Luxeed brand logo proudly displayed at the front of the engine cover. The vehicle adopts a fastback design and is equipped with five-spoke wheels with red Brembo brake calipers, adding to its sporty appeal. The exterior also features a two-color body, providing a dynamic contrast. At the rear, the Luxeed bears the Chery logo at the lower left.
On the inside, the Luxeed offers a spacious and modern cabin. The interior features a large floating central control screen, an LCD instrument panel, and a thick-looking steering wheel with an intriguing design. However, spy photos of the Luxeed's interior have not yet been officially confirmed by Huawei or Chery.
One of the Luxeed's most notable features is its advanced driving assistance system, which is powered by Huawei's ADS 2.0. The Luxeed is equipped with a lidar on the roof, a millimeter-wave radar at the front, and side-view cameras on the front fenders to support its advanced driving functions. This system has been successfully integrated into Luxeed models, such as the S7 sedan, developed through the partnership between Huawei and Chery.
Another exciting aspect of the Luxeed is its HarmonyOS 4.0 in-vehicle operating system. This system will feature a more intelligent voice assistant and a new generation of short-range wireless connection technology called NearLink. Pre-orders for another Huawei vehicle, the Aito M7, which also features industry-first in-cabin LiDAR, opened on September 5.
As for the Luxeed's powertrain, no additional information has been provided at this time. The vehicle is expected to launch later this year, adding another exciting chapter to the collaboration between Huawei and Chery.
Meanwhile, the Jetour Zongheng G700 PHEV off-road SUV, with 751hp and a 970mm wading depth, has started pre-sale. And the all-new Chery QQ3 EV is part of the QQ series revival and debuted in China.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Luxeed and other exciting developments in the world of automotive technology.
