Investigation of the Tooth discovered in Bath bathwater remains unresolved, raising concerns about the delay in identification.
In two separate incidents, the bodies of two individuals have been recovered from local water bodies in the region.
On Sunday, August 17, a lifeless female body was retrieved from the Tollensesee bathing beach in Gätenbach, Neubrandenburg. The search for the missing woman had begun on Friday, August 14, and was resumed with additional resources such as a rubber boat, a sniffer dog, and a special magnifying glass. The woman was identified as a 70-year-old with short, gray, curly hair. Clothing items and personal belongings found on the shore are believed to belong to her.
The condition of the body has not yet allowed for a precise identification, and the police are still hoping for tips from people who recognize the clothing or the boat in the photos and can associate it with someone. An autopsy is currently being conducted to definitively establish the identity of the deceased.
The search was initially suspended in the evening of the first missing person report, but was resumed the next day with additional resources. The police are speculating that the missing woman is a 70-year-old from Neubrandenburg who went missing at the bathing spot on August 13.
In a separate incident, a body was pulled from the Domjuč lake between Neustrelitz and Fürstensee a few days ago. The identity of the man remains unknown. The police had been searching for a missing man for days in connection with the incident at Domjuč-See. The man is described as being 1.78 meters tall.
On June 9, a man's body was recovered from the Breiten Luzin between Wittenhagen and Tornowhof in the Feldberger Seenlandschaft. The small forest lake where the man went missing is not supervised by lifeguards, and the identity of the man remains unknown.
The police have checked missing persons from other federal states but have found no match so far. Tips can be given by phone to the duty officer in Neubrandenburg at 0395 / 5582 2224 or in writing to the online station at www.polizei.mvnet.de.
The police are still hoping for any information that may help in identifying the deceased individuals and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
