Break-ins and Thefts Reported Across Recklinghausen and Datteln

In a series of unfortunate events, several break-ins and thefts have been reported in the cities of Recklinghausen and Datteln.

In Recklinghausen, a tattoo studio on Kleiststraße was the target of a burglary between late Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. The perpetrators made off with a "tool cart" containing equipment. The police are seeking any witness tips and ask anyone with information to call 0800/2361 111.

A residential building on Straße Im Romberg in Recklinghausen also experienced a burglary on Wednesday afternoon between 16:00 and 17:00. The resident was at home at the time, but in another room. The search for the person or persons responsible is ongoing.

In a more unusual incident, unknown perpetrators destroyed a glass display case in a church on Kirchstraße in Datteln and stole several church items, including silver plaques. The crime occurred on Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 17:50 p.m., with the church open to all during the time of the crime. Anyone who can provide information about suspects or has observed suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact the Kripo (Tel. 0800/2361 111).

Meanwhile, in Gladbeck, a break-in and theft occurred, although specific details about the incident were not provided.

In a separate incident at a residential building, at least one unknown perpetrator forced open the apartment door on the 1st floor and searched the drawers in the bedroom, making off with watches and high-value jewelry.

Lastly, three suspects stole three smartphones (2x Samsung, 1x Xiaomi) from a mobile phone store on Hochstraße on Wednesday evening around 19:00. The suspects were described as approximately 16 to 20 years old, with two having dark short hair, one having dark medium-length hair, one wearing a white T-shirt, one wearing a black T-shirt, and one having a black jacket on.
