Investigators in Wasbek seek individuals who may have witnessed the detonation of a cash machine, an incident reportedly undertaken by LKA.
In the early hours of July 28, 2025, a shocking incident took place in Kiel, Germany. Unknown perpetrators detonated a bomb at a cash machine belonging to Förde Sparkasse in Wasbek, district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde.
The police were immediately alerted to the incident, with the alarm raised at 2 am by the responsible security service. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the explosion. However, significant property damage was found to the standalone service terminal.
The Landeskriminalamt has taken over the investigation, with the bomb disposal unit of Schleswig-Holstein also involved. The investigation continues into whether the perpetrators were able to access the money in the safe. It is also being investigated if there are any witnesses who can provide information about the perpetrators or suspicious vehicles.
