Investigators seek individuals who may have observed break-ins within the Recklinghausen/Bottrop district area.
In a series of burglaries that have occurred over the past few days, several properties in Recklinghausen and Gladbeck have been targeted. The local police are actively investigating these incidents and are seeking any information that may lead to the identification of the perpetrators.
On Thursday, unknown individuals gained access to an apartment on Morianstraße in Recklinghausen between 1 pm and 3 pm. The criminals entered through an open window and made off with cash and jewelry, fleeing through the bedroom window in an unknown direction. In a separate incident on Hohenzollernstraße, also in Recklinghausen, a ground-floor apartment was broken into between 2 pm and 8 pm. The perpetrators took a safe containing cash and a coin collection during the break-in and made their escape. The identity of the person who entered the property on Hohenzollernstraße is not publicly disclosed.
In Gladbeck, a single-family house on Uechtmannstraße was broken into between 8:30 am and 11 am on Wednesday. The criminals gained entry through the terrace door, but it is not yet clear whether anything was stolen from the property. The perpetrators in this case have not been identified either.
Another incident occurred on Riegestraße in Marl, where a witness reported seeing an unknown man attempting to climb into a ground-floor apartment through a bathroom window. The man was accompanied by another man and a woman, but their identities remain unknown.
The police are urging anyone with information regarding these break-ins to come forward. Tips can be directed to the police at 0800 2361 111. For media inquiries, contact Andreas Lesch at Police Headquarters Recklinghausen at 02361 55 1031 or [email protected].

In the incident on Riegestraße, the three individuals fled over Riegestraße towards Hervester Straße after being noticed by a witness and got into a car near Paul-Klee-Straße in Marl. However, there are no leads on the perpetrators or their direction of flight from the Hohenzollernstraße break-in.
It is certain that jewelry was stolen from the Gladbeck house, but whether other valuable items were stolen is unknown. In the Recklinghausen apartments, the perpetrators mainly searched the bedrooms for loot. The police are urging residents to secure their bedrooms, especially when they are not at home.
The police are working diligently to solve these cases and bring the perpetrators to justice. They are reminding residents to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities immediately.
