Waltz, a digital platform that simplifies U.S. residential real estate financing for foreign national investors, has secured a new line of credit to support its growth in Latin America (LATAM). The line of credit, amounting to $25 million, is provided by affiliates of Setpoint Capital.

This tailored credit solution will enable Waltz to originate additional U.S. mortgage loans for foreign buyers through its digital platform, as it expands its services to LATAM countries, starting with Mexico and Brazil. The company aims to bring its services to more LATAM countries, focusing on Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina, which are the region's most significant sources of U.S. real estate investment.

The demand for U.S. real estate investment from Latin America is immediate, according to Yuval Golan, Founder and CEO of Waltz. He highlights the customer-centric digital solutions provided by Waltz as a key factor in its resonance with global investors. The company's solutions enable foreign investors to form an LLC, open a U.S. bank account, exchange currencies, secure financing, and close on property purchases, all while streamlining investment opportunities for global investors in income-producing residential properties in the U.S.

The new funding round will be used to support Waltz's ability to fund up to $1 billion in loan volume, as part of its aim to expand across LATAM. This expansion is not just about providing credit solutions, but also about enhancing Waltz's advanced technologies and capabilities, such as foreign exchange and quick cross-border transfers, in the LATAM region.

Kendall Ranjbaran, Managing Director of Investments at Setpoint Capital, stated that Waltz is streamlining investment opportunities for global investors in income-producing residential properties in the U.S. He emphasizes the full-service approach of Waltz in making U.S. real estate investment easier for individuals across the globe.

U.S. real estate is considered a blue chip investment for foreign nationals due to the stability rooted in the historical strength of the U.S. economy. Since launching in July 2024, Waltz has processed over $300 million in loan applications across four continents, demonstrating the strong demand for its services.

The company involved in the financing of Waltz is Haufe Group Ventures, the venture unit of Haufe Group SE, which recently became a new investor in the Berlin-based ClimateTech startup Waltz 7.
