Graduation Ceremony of Police Commissioners at the Federal Police Academy
On Thursday, August 28, 2025, the Federal Police Academy will graduate approximately 700 students as police commissioners. The ceremony will take place at the Federal Police Academy, Ratzeburger Landstraße 2, 23562 Lübeck.
The event will commence at 10:00 AM, with a reception at 9:40 AM at the main entrance. The Federal Police Orchestra Hannover will accompany the event musically.
Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Christoph de Vries, President of the Federal Police Headquarters, Dr. Dieter Romann, and President of the Federal Police Academy, Ulf Strandt, will give speeches during the ceremony.
Following the official ceremony, the heads of the eleven Federal Police Directorates will receive "their" future leaders for their appointment.
Access to the ceremony requires a valid press ID, an official ID document, and accreditation. Registration for the event is mandatory and should include the function, medium, and press ID. Registration must be completed by August 26, 2025, 6:00 PM via email at [email protected].
Parking is limited on the grounds of the Federal Police Academy; therefore, it is essential to provide your license plate number in advance.
Expected attendees include around 3,000 relatives, honorary guests from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the leadership of the Federal Police, and representatives from authorities both at home and abroad.
A "Blue Light Mile" will be open for media representatives and guests following the appointments, where various units of the Federal Police will be presented.
