Apple has announced that its latest mobile operating system, iOS 26, is set to be released next week, with a host of new features and improvements.

One of the standout additions is the integration of Apple Intelligence, a suite of advanced technologies that enhances the user experience on specific devices. The feature is available on the iPhone Air, iPhone 17 models, iPhone 16 models, and iPhone 15 Pro models. Notably, the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR are not compatible with iOS 26.

iOS 26 will also offer built-in call screening and in-chat polls, providing users with more convenience and interactive options during calls and chats.

The operating system will feature a translucent "Liquid Glass" look, giving devices a sleek, modern aesthetic.

In terms of compatibility, only devices with Apple's A13 Bionic chip or later will be able to run iOS 26. This means the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone SE (second generation and later), iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max will be able to run iOS 26.

Apple Intelligence features, including Genmoji, Image Playground, and the new Visual Intelligence search, are only available on iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 models, and iPhone 17 models. Devices not on the compatibility list will not have access to iOS 26's new features.
