Iran's Foreign Minister issues Israel a warning of stern retaliation
In a series of statements, Iran's Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif, known as Arakchi, has emphasised the consequences of future aggression and called for past experiences to be considered to avoid repetition.
Arakchi has reportedly stated that Iran has knowledge of the scale and details of the recent U.S.-Israeli aggression, which are still censored. He stressed that if aggression were to recur, concealing the consequences would be impossible.
The diplomat's warnings come after a 12-day exchange of fire between Iran and Israel, which began on June 13. The most notable incident occurred on June 23, when Tehran launched missile strikes on the U.S. base of Al-Udeid in Qatar, in response to an American attack on Iranian nuclear facilities on June 22.
The attacks on the Al-Udeid military base, which housed U.S. forces, were carried out by Iran, using precise rocket strikes that damaged advanced radar systems despite the base's air defense systems.
U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened potential new strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities if Iran does not halt its nuclear program. However, Iranian statements indicate that further escalation of the conflict is not in their plans.
Arakchi has also stated that Iran is aware of past aggressive actions by the U.S. and Israel. He warned that if such a situation occurs again, Iran will react in a more decisive manner without hesitation.
Despite the tensions, Arakchi's statements suggest a desire for diplomacy to prevent future conflicts. He urged all parties involved to learn from past experiences and work towards a peaceful resolution.
