Isaiah Sharkey, a master of jazz, R&B, gospel, blues, rock, and more, has recently concluded a successful residency at the iconic Blue Note jazz club in New York City. During his four-night run, Sharkey showcased his talent with a variety of instruments, including a Fender Hot Rod Deville, a Crews Maniac Sound guitar, a Boss GT-1000 pedal, and a Fender Stratocaster.

Sharkey's versatility as a musician is evident in his upcoming projects. He is currently in development of two signature guitars with Ibanez, one being a solidbody and the other a semi-hollow. These instruments are designed to cover a wide range of sounds for musicians, reflecting Sharkey's adaptable style.

Sharkey's love for music and his innovative approach to guitar playing have not gone unnoticed. He has been touring with John Mayer for around a decade and has been influenced by Mayer to try out vintage guitars. Sharkey's affinity for vintage instruments led him to the Ritter Princess Isabella guitar, originally made for jazz guitar icon George Benson.

Sharkey's collaboration with Ibanez is not his first foray into signature models. He has previously used a Fodera Monarch guitar and a Fender Twin on Miles Davis' 2019 "Rubberband" album, and a Lucille B.B. King signature model, a Strat, a Vox HDC77, and a Danelectro sitar on D'Angelo's "Black Messiah" album in 2014.

In addition to his gear, Sharkey's pedalboard is impressively diverse. He has Vertex pedals, a Strymon Flint, a Strymon Mobius, a Meris Mercury7, an Xotic Wah, and an Ibanez TS9 from the '80s in his arsenal.

Sharkey's upcoming projects include a residency in Copenhagen with Darryl Jones at the end of October, as well as John Mayer dates in September and early October. He will also be back in New York for Robert Glasper dates for his annual residency.

Music lovers can catch up with Sharkey's latest creations by streaming his latest album "Red", available on all major platforms. Sharkey's journey as a musician continues to evolve, and we can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
