Israel's Alleged Slaughter of a Child: Prof. Anne Bayefsky Argues It's Not Just a Simple Error

Israel's actions, described as the killing of a child, are not simply an error, according to Prof. Anne Bayefsky.

In a series of shocking revelations, it has been uncovered that claims about the death of a young boy named Abboud, initially attributed to Israeli forces, were false. The boy, originally referred to as "Amir" by former Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) contractor Anthony Aguila, was found alive.

Abboud's alleged demise outside a GHF aid distribution center on May 28 was widely shared across media platforms, including discussions by members of the US Congress. However, the boy and his mother, Najlaa, reappeared at a GHF Secure Distribution Site (SDS 3) on August 23, following a several-week investigation by the GHF.

The incident adds to the controversy surrounding the reliability of claims made by GHF contractors regarding events in Gaza. Professor Anne Bayefsky, President of Human Rights Voices and Director of the Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust, stated that the episode is indicative of a larger problem of lies being told about Israeli actions in Gaza during the war against the Hamas terrorist organization.

Videos obtained by the Daily Wire in August showed Abboud's stepmother stating that he was still alive two months after the claimed date of death. The GHF denied the event and found Aguila's account to be inconsistent with the video of the boy taken that day.

Abboud was quietly extracted from Gaza to an undisclosed location for his protection. In a translated interview verified by Fox News, Abboud was quoted as saying, "Outside the Gaza Strip is nice."

This is not the first time such allegations have surfaced. Palestinians and their NGO and UN enablers have been accused of lying about civilian casualties, purposefully conflating terrorists, combatants, and civilians. They have also been accused of spreading fake photos of allegedly starving Palestinian children with pre-existing conditions, and lying about Israel targeting innocent journalists, who are actually terrorists.

Moreover, claims that Israel targeted civilian infrastructure like hospitals have been disputed. It has been revealed that Hamas has illegally turned these facilities into military staging grounds or hit them with their own misfired rockets.

These lies are not corrected in the media, leading to lethal antisemitism. Spreading the lie that Israel murdered an innocent child is not just a mistake, it does immense harm that resonates on a global scale.

Professor Bayefsky emphasised that these false narratives are a serious concern, as they distort the truth and fuel hatred against Israel. It is crucial that accurate information is shared to promote peace and understanding in the region.
