Jack Osbourne, the 39-year-old son of legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, received the devastating news of his father's death in a middle-of-the-night visit at his home in Los Angeles on July 22. The news was delivered by a long-time family employee who had worked for the Osbournes for about 30 years.
In a heartfelt YouTube video message, Jack shared his emotions and memories of his father. He described Ozzy as more than just a father, but also a colleague, roommate, friend, and texting buddy. Jack praised Ozzy's sense of humor, calling him funny, weird, clumsy, and hilarious.
Jack lived with his father for a period of time in his late thirties, and his children also lived with them. He spoke emotionally about their closeness, referring to Ozzy as empathetic. Jack visited his father in England just before his death and left only ten days before his passing.
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22 at his home in Buckinghamshire, UK, from a heart attack related to coronary heart disease and Parkinson's with autonomic dysfunction. Just a few weeks before his death, Ozzy gave a big benefit concert in his hometown of Birmingham.
In the video message, Jack emphasized Ozzy's legacy, stating that it will not end with his death. Jack booked a flight back to England after receiving the news of his father's death and is currently with his family in the UK.
