Jaguar, a renowned premium automaker known for its F-Type sports car and F-Pace SUV, is set to usher in a new era with the introduction of its all-electric Type 00 model. The Type 00, scheduled for limited production in 2026, marks the end of Jaguar's internal combustion era and a significant step towards a sustainable future.

The Swallow Sidecar Company, the foundation upon which Jaguar was built in 1922, initially produced motorcycle sidecars. By 1935, the company had shifted its focus exclusively to car manufacturing, and the first official vehicle for sale under the new brand identity SS Jaguar was introduced. The SS Jaguar was named after the traits of the animal itself: sleekness, power, agility, and sophistication.

Fast forward to the 1960s, the E-Type, introduced in 1961, stunned the industry with its eye-catching design and groundbreaking engineering. The E-Type marked a pivotal turning point in automotive history and firmly established Jaguar as a leading premium automaker.

The Type 00 model retains the Jaguar's signature style, with a sweeping roofline, futuristic elements, hidden door handles, flush lighting, and clean body lines. The exterior design is complemented by a minimalist interior, wrapped in premium materials like sustainable leather alternatives, soft-touch surfaces, and brushed metals. The cabin features sculpted driver and passenger seats, a floating center console, and a panoramic glass roof.

The Type 00's interior also boasts subtle ambient lighting and a retractable widescreen digital dash, providing a modern and immersive driving experience. The vehicle's exterior is finished in "London blue," a modern recreation of the iconic "opalescent silver blue" used on the E-Type in the 1960s.

In the United States, the Type 00 will be available exclusively at Jaguar Land Rover Minneapolis. The dealership is committed to delivering a personalized buying experience and customers can inquire about or register for the Type 00's initial availability on their website or at the dealership.

The Type 00 is taking the place of the F-Type and F-Pace models, with the production of the F-Type sports car ending in 2024. The Type 00's arrival signifies a new chapter for Jaguar, as it embraces a more sustainable and electric future. Despite the shift, Jaguar's commitment to style, performance, and luxury remains unwavering.
