Jersey Opera House Reopens with an Exciting Lineup
After a two-year closure due to renovations, the Jersey Opera House is set to reopen its historical stage in October with the production of ENCORE! Welcome Home. This special show, directed by Nick Carver, marks the official reopening of the venue following a £12.5m government-funded refurbishment.
The creative team behind ENCORE! Welcome Home includes Nick Carver, Victoria Hermitage, and Luke Brown, known for their work on local productions such as Shrek, Chicago, and Ghost. The show will feature over 100 local aspiring and professional performers.
As the holiday season approaches, the Jersey Opera House will host a series of exciting events. The Jersey Bounce Big Christmas Show, featuring Jersey's biggest show band, will take place on Saturday 20 December. Chesney Hawkes will be a special guest in this festive extravaganza.
On Thursday 18 December, the original London cast of The Rat Pack at Christmas will return to the Jersey Opera House, bringing their swinging tunes and festive cheer.
Looking ahead to next year, the Olivier Award-nominated West End hit The Tiger Who Came to Tea will visit Jersey on 28 and 29 March 2026.
Music lovers will be delighted to know that an evening with music legend Gilbert O'Sullivan is set to take place at the Jersey Opera House on Wednesday 17 December. An acclaimed ABBA tribute show, Thank You for the Music, will take place from 30 to 31 January.
For those seeking a laugh, a brand-new comedy club night will commence on 29 January, featuring Sally-Anne Hayward and Tom Lawrinson. Additionally, an Evening of Burlesque Cabaret will take place on 13 and 14 February.
With such an exciting lineup, the Jersey Opera House is set to reopen with a bang, promising a fantastic selection of shows for audiences to enjoy over the next six months.
