Josh Duhamel Embraces a Quiet Life in Minnesota and North Dakota

Actor Josh Duhamel, known for his roles in films such as "Transformers" and "Safe Haven," has been living a more low-key life away from Hollywood. Duhamel, who recently married Audra Mari in September 2022 and welcomed their son Shepherd Lawrence in January 2024, now calls North Dakota home after many years.

Growing up in North Dakota until he was 22 years old, Duhamel initially couldn't wait to leave for the city life. However, as he has grown older, he has come to appreciate his small-town roots, stating that they keep him grounded. In an interview, Duhamel mentioned that not much filming happens in Los Angeles anymore, forcing him to travel for work.

When he's not working, Duhamel enjoys spending time at his 26-acre lakeside cabin in Minnesota, which is "deep in the woods" and about 40 miles from a grocery store. The cabin, which Duhamel describes as "doomsday" ready, provides him with the privacy and back-to-basics lifestyle he craves.

Duhamel's family does not live year-round at the Minnesota cabin, but the actor enjoys escaping to it to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood. His wife and son, as well as his son from his previous marriage to singer Fergie, often join him at the cabin.

In addition to his quiet life in Minnesota and North Dakota, Duhamel can be seen on the big screen in the upcoming film "London Calling." In the film, Duhamel stars as Tommy, a character fleeing London to complete a hitman job in Los Angeles. Tommy is forced to babysit his crime boss's son, Julian, played by Jeremy Ray Allen, and teach him how to become a man.

Duhamel encourages people to watch "London Calling," describing it as an amazing movie. The film will be released in theaters on September 19.

Despite his busy schedule, Duhamel has a great group of friends and family in North Dakota, who he credits for helping him maintain his grounded nature. With his quiet life in the Midwest and his upcoming film release, it seems Duhamel is enjoying a new chapter in his career and personal life.
