The Creative Arts Emmys, held over two nights at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, celebrated exceptional talent in various categories this year. One of the standout winners was Julianne Nicholson, who clinched her second Emmy award for her role in the comedy series "Hacks," where she played Mary Alice, also known as "Dance Mom."

Nicholson's win marked a significant milestone, as she had previously triumphed for her role in "Mare of Easttown." The other show that brought her this victory was the Netflix series "Hacks."

Another notable winner was Beyoncé, who took home the Emmy for outstanding costumes for nonfiction or reality programming at the 77th Emmys. The pop icon was also nominated at the Creative Arts Emmys for outstanding directing for a variety special for "Beyoncé's Homecoming." The Netflix special received a total of four nominations at the Creative Arts Emmys.

The dark comedy "Severance" was another show that shone brightly, landing a total of 27 nominations at the Creative Arts Emmys. Jeremy Hindle, the production designer for "Severance," was nominated for outstanding production design. "Woe's Hollow," episode 4 of "Severance," was particularly challenging for Hindle, with all the exteriors for the episode being shot on location.

Hindle wasn't the only one from "Severance" to receive a nomination. The show's cast, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Olivia Colman, Robby Hoffman, Zoe Kravitz, and Cynthia Erivo, were also nominated in the same category.

Maya Rudolph was nominated for her work as Connie the Hormone Monstress on "Big Mouth" in the Creative Arts Emmys. Her unique and humorous portrayal of the character earned her a well-deserved nomination.

Julie Andrews, the iconic actress, was also recognised for her work on "Bridgerton" as the voice of Lady Penelope. Her contribution to the show was a testament to her timeless talent.

Nicholson's win was particularly noteworthy as she worked closely with choreographer Corey Baker to develop her character's clunky, earnest dance style. Her dedication to her craft was evident in her performance, making her win a well-deserved accolade.

The Creative Arts Emmys serve as a testament to the hard work and creativity of the individuals behind the scenes, recognising their contributions to the world of television. The winners and nominees this year showcased exceptional talent and dedication, making for an exciting and memorable ceremony.
