University City of Gießen Accepting Follow-up Applications for Volunteer Cards
The University City of Gießen is once again expressing its gratitude to its dedicated volunteers by accepting follow-up applications for the Volunteer Card. The application period for both new applications and follow-up applications is between 1st August and 31st October 2025.
To apply, eligible citizens can download the application form from a specific link or request it via a phone number. It is important to note that the applicant must still meet the conditions for the award of the Volunteer Card to be eligible for the follow-up application.
The volunteer work must be oriented towards the common good and have been carried out for at least 3 years or since the foundation of the organization, with an average of 5 weekly hours. Moreover, the volunteer work must not be remunerated.
Those who have previously received the Volunteer Card and whose validity will expire or has already expired on 31st December 2025 are eligible for the follow-up application. The deadline for both initial and follow-up applications is 31st October 2025.
Applicants should send their completed application forms to the Magistrate of the University City of Gießen, Office for Magistrate, Information and Service, Berliner Platz 1, 35390 Gießen.
