Kick-off of the new season with a children's concert
The Theater Marl is set to host an exciting evening of music on a scheduled date at 7:30 PM, as the main stage plays host to the rock show "Respect! The dignity of man is inviolable".
This thought-provoking rock show takes a mirror to contemporary society, encouraging reflection and introspection. The lineup includes songs by renowned German artists Udo Lindenberg, Herbert Grönemeyer, and Die Ärzte, as well as music from German cabaret of the 1930s. The show also features a journey back to a time before television, Gameboy, and PlayStation, with contemporary songs by artists like Taylor Swift, Alice Cooper, and Green Day interspersed among the classics.
In addition, the show includes songs against forgetting and silence, with tracks from the civil rights movement such as those by Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, and Bob Dylan. Interestingly, the show also includes long-forgotten German children's songs arranged for modern audiences, courtesy of the duo Michael Zachcial and Felix Kroll.
For those with a younger taste, the theater square will host the children's concert "Dark was the night, the moon was shining" at 3 PM. This revival of old German children's songs, presented in detail and captivatingly, will feature the music duo Michael Zachcial and Felix Kroll. Admission for this concert is free.
Before the main event, from 2 PM, the Maki-Mobil will be on the theater square, offering fun activities for all ages.
Tickets for the rock show "Respect! The dignity of man is inviolable" are available from 19 euros at the i-Punkt or online at www.theater-unsere-website.de. The show takes place at the Westphalian State Theater.
Instruments used in the rock show include guitar, accordion, and an apple (although the specific use of the apple is not mentioned). Regardless, it promises to be an evening of diverse music and introspection, not to be missed.
