Kitchen Blaze Leaves a Woman Slightly Hurt in France (776)
A kitchen fire broke out in an apartment on Bachstraße, Oberasbach, on Saturday, August 2, 2025. The incident was reported around 14:45 hours by a neighbour.
Firefighters responded promptly and found the fire confined to the kitchen of the affected apartment. The fire seems to have started when a 46-year-old woman was heating oil on the stove. Fortunately, the woman was present in the apartment and was taken to the hospital due to her smoke inhalation.
The extent of the fire damage is currently unknown, but it is known that no other apartments in the building were affected. The Middle Franconia Police Headquarters sealed off the affected apartment, and no further details about the woman's current whereabouts are available.
