Labor Holiday, Year 2025

In a historic move, President Donald J. Trump has proclaimed September 1, 2025, as Labor Day. This special day marks a significant milestone, not only in the President's term but also in the 250th anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America.

The President's proclamation underscores the vital role of American workers in the past, present, and future of the United States. The American worker, encompassing professions such as welders, nurses, truckers, farmers, machinists, and many more, has been instrumental in shaping the nation's history. From constructing railroads, steel mills, and skyscrapers, the American worker's contributions have added stones to the foundation of the nation's prosperity.

However, in recent decades, the manufacturing base in the United States has declined due to corrupt political actions. This led to jobs being shipped overseas, industries being decimated, and communities being weakened. Foreign competitors were built up at the expense of American workers and families.

But under President Trump's leadership, this trend has ended. The current administration is restoring the dignity of labor and prioritising the American worker. The President has set his hand to the proclamation on August 28, 2025, emphasising the importance of honouring the contributions and resilience of American workers.

The administration is collecting hundreds of billions of dollars in tariff revenue and ensuring that American-made products are appreciated for their true value in overseas markets. This has led to jobs being brought back to America and given to American-born workers.

As a result, once-forgotten communities in the American heartland and coastal cities are experiencing new opportunities. New jobs are being created at a record pace, and the administration is making it easier to buy and hire American, revitalising manufacturing cities, and securing fair trade deals that protect jobs and reward productivity.

The President is calling for appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities to honour the contributions and resilience of American workers. He believes that they are the foundation of the nation's strength and the embodiment of the American Dream.

On this Labor Day, let us celebrate the American worker, the backbone of our great nation. Their hard work, dedication, and resilience have built and continue to build the United States of America, making it the land of opportunity and prosperity it is today.
