In the region, several incidents and accidents have been reported over the past few days, causing damage and raising concerns.

In Tettnang, an overtaking accident occurred on the L 328a between Ailingen and Blankenried on Wednesday evening. The incident involved a Mazda, a VW Golf, and a VW Polo. The driver of the Mazda, attempting to overtake the VW Golf, failed to notice an oncoming VW Polo, resulting in a collision. The subsequent collision caused the Polo to spin and collide with the Golf, which left the road and came to a stop in a strawberry field. Fortunately, all three drivers were taken to nearby hospitals as a precaution, but it is still unclear whether anyone was actually injured.

The Tettnag police post is investigating the driver on suspicion of endangering traffic. Additionally, investigations are ongoing regarding an unknown driver of a Fiat Doblo who overtook a car despite oncoming traffic on the B 467 near Tettnang. The driver of the Fiat allegedly braked in front of a witness and made an insulting hand gesture after being honked at.

In a separate incident, a kitchen fire occurred at Goldparmänenweg, Friedrichshafen, on Thursday at approximately 9 a.m. The fire is believed to have been caused by a 56-year-old resident accidentally turning on the stove while cooking. The affected apartment is temporarily uninhabitable due to smoke damage, but two other apartments in the building remained largely unaffected and habitable. The fire resulted in a container on the stove catching fire and the kitchen being completely destroyed, leading to an estimated material damage of around 50,000 euros.

Meanwhile, the Überlingen police station is investigating on suspicion of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, hit-and-run, and theft. An unknown person had unauthorized use of a Mercedes Sprinter with a car trailer in Friedrich-Blersch-Straße between Saturday evening and Tuesday afternoon. No specific persons have been named in connection with investigations regarding unauthorized driving of a Mercedes Sprinter or a possible assault and the vehicle's accident-like occurrence between Saturday evening and Tuesday noon in Überlingen.

In a concerning incident, a 36-year-old man crashed an E-Scooter in Tettnang on Wednesday evening due to significant intoxication. The man collided with an elevated curb on Lindauer Straße and sustained minor injuries. The police found clear signs of intoxication, and a breathalyzer test revealed a high value of over 3.3 per thousand. The man will be charged accordingly.

These incidents serve as a reminder to exercise caution on the roads and in the kitchen. Always ensure safety first to avoid accidents and mishaps.
