In two separate incidents, the Police Headquarters Ravensburg is currently investigating a hit-and-run and a fatal traffic accident.

On Friday at 3:30 PM, an 83-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries in a traffic accident on the K 7769 near Bärweiler. The driver, who is also 86 years old, lost control in a right curve and veered off the road. The Audi collided with two trees on the passenger side, spun, and came to a stop in a cornfield. The 86-year-old driver suffered minor injuries, while the 83-year-old was trapped in the Audi and had to be extricated by the fire department. The woman was taken to a hospital with severe injuries and later died.

The traffic police have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. The county road was fully closed during the investigation until around 5:30 PM.

In a separate incident, the driver of a Nissan Micra on the parking lot of the Landratsamt in Albrechtstraße, Friedrichshafen, was sideswiped by an unknown driver on Thursday. The damage to the Nissan is estimated at around 1,000 euros, but the driver who caused the damage fled the scene without providing any information.
