Last Opening of Gardens in the Ruhr: Two Days of Beauty on September 6th and 7th
Experience the beauty and sustainability of community gardens in the Ruhr Arc region, with the upcoming events in Arnsberg.
On September 6th, the event "LichterGARDEN" will illuminate Arnsberg's historic vineyard from 6 PM to 10 PM, offering a unique opportunity to explore gardens under the stars. No registration is required, but visitors are advised to park at the Altstadtgarage at Neumarkt.
The following day, on September 7th, the community garden "Stadtlabor" will open its doors to visitors. Located behind the "stadtlabor freiRAUM" at Neumarkt, this garden is a collaborative project developed by the Arnsberg Climate Group. Visitors can find tips and practical examples for ecological garden design, as well as an insect hotel and various habitats and food sources for insects, which are unique features of the Stadtlabor.
The "Open Gardens in the Ruhr Arc" project, a well-established community initiative, involves the municipalities of Arnsberg, Frödenberg, Hemer, Iserlohn, Menden, and Neuenrade. This project supports the sustainability strategy of Arnsberg and contributes to the implementation of the Global Sustainability Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
The "Open Gardens in the Ruhr Arc" project offers a variety of experiences, including time in nature, glimpses into foreign gardens, garden design inspiration, relaxation, and opportunities for networking. On September 7th, visitors to the Stadtlabor can engage in conversations with other visitors and garden owners.
