Latest workforce scanner release by Epson

Epson has recently announced the launch of its latest flatbed scanners, the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN. These scanners are designed to cater to the needs of users who require efficient scanning solutions, especially in cramped environments.

Christoph Lubinus, the Manager Sales Scanner at Epson Deutschland GmbH, explained the introduction of these two new scanners. According to Lubinus, the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN have a more compact design, making them suitable for use in tight spaces.

One of the key features of the DS-1760WN is its network accessibility. It comes equipped with both WLAN and LAN interfaces, allowing it to connect to various networks. Additionally, it supports standalone functionality, Apple AirPrint, Mopria, and is compatible with the Epson Smart Panel app for iOS and Android.

The DS-1760WN also offers a unique feature that allows it to scan directly to the network, cloud services, email, or a USB stick without the need for a computer or scan software, using Epson ScanWay. This feature is particularly useful for users who require a quick and straightforward scanning solution.

The DS-1760WN is priced at €409, while the WorkForce DS-1730 retails at €339. Both scanners are ideal for capturing sensitive documents or non-standard format documents, and they support duplex scanning without the need for additional paper handling.

These scanners also boast a faster scanning speed of 30 pages or 60 images per minute, and they feature automatic document feeding for duplex scanning and automatic format trimming. The flatbed scan resolution of the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN is up to 1200 dpi.

In terms of environmental impact, the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN have a lower CO2 footprint compared to their predecessors. They come with Twain drivers for Windows and Mac, and they replace the DS-1630 and DS-1660W models.

The Epson WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN are set to be available in qualified retail stores in September 2025. With their compact design, network accessibility, and efficient scanning capabilities, these scanners are poised to become valuable additions to any workspace.
