In a move towards a more sustainable future, J.P. Morgan Asset Management has launched the JP Morgan US Sustainable Equity Fund (ISIN: LU2363199030). This new fund is part of the asset management giant's growing range of sustainable investment solutions.

The fund's strategy is unique, focusing on active engagement with the companies it invests in. The in-house team of over 20 analysts, led by an unnamed head of the sustainable investment team, is dedicated to seeking out sustainability pioneers for the fund.

The engagement with these companies is a crucial part of the fund's approach. The team works closely with them to support and drive sustainability improvements, fostering a collaborative environment aimed at achieving better sustainable outcomes. This collaboration is used to support and drive changes towards best practices in sustainability.

The fund's investment strategy is based on a fundamental analysis that includes a 70-question sustainability assessment. The fund invests in 50 to 70 companies that demonstrate good corporate governance, manage environmental and social issues exceptionally well, and have a sustainable business model.

The fund management duo of David Small and Danielle Hines does not use data from external providers in their research process. Instead, they engage in active dialogue with the companies, gaining firsthand insights into their sustainability practices and potential for improvement.

However, the fund does apply exclusion policies for non-sustainable industries and companies that violate certain values, industry standards, and regulations. The exclusion of controversial weapons or nuclear weapons, or violations of the UN Global Compact norms, are examples of such exclusion policies.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management's commitment to sustainable investing is evident in the JP Morgan US Sustainable Equity Fund. By investing in companies that are considered leaders in ESG or demonstrate improvement in their sustainability characteristics, the fund is making a significant contribution to a more sustainable future.

With this new fund, J.P. Morgan Asset Management continues to demonstrate its leadership in sustainable investing, offering investors a unique opportunity to align their investments with their values and contribute to a more sustainable world.
