Law enforcement agencies are currently scrutinizing potential instances of a "Jammer" device being utilized.
In Dortmund, Germany, an unknown man stole several hundred euros worth of items from a car in the parking lot of a Kaufland market on Bornstraße, according to the Dortmund Police. The incident occurred around 8:30 PM on September 6th, 2025.
The victim, a 33-year-old man from Castrop-Rauxel, had left his Mercedes parked in the lot. Upon returning to his vehicle, he found an unidentified man searching through it. A physical altercation ensued, but the suspect fled the scene afterwards.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 40 years old, standing around 170-175 cm tall with a normal build. He has an Eastern European appearance, is bald, and was wearing a blue T-shirt at the time of the incident. The specific nationality or ethnicity of the suspect is not known.
As the victim was inside the supermarket, he received a message on his phone that his car doors had been opened. A gym bag containing a technical device, believed to have been used to disrupt or intercept the radio signal when locking the vehicle, was left at the scene. The police secured this device.
