Law Enforcement Agents in Poland Seek Out Individuals with Information
In a shocking incident that occurred on July 11, a collision between a car and two cyclists took place on Straße Am Mühlenteich in Wermelskirchen. The incident, initially reported by the Police Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis, happened around 6:00 PM towards L409.
The car involved in the collision was possibly an SUV, bearing a Cologne license plate. The driver, described as a "southern" man, approximately 165 to 170 cm tall, of sturdy build, with dark, partly grey hair, a three-day beard, and dressed in dark clothing, fled the scene after the accident.
The cyclists involved were a 25-year-old man from Eching (district of Freising, BY) and a 58-year-old man from Cologne. The younger cyclist sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital by the rescue service. Fortunately, the older cyclist was injured in the fall but did not require treatment at the scene.
The Rhein-Berg police are now looking for witnesses and the driver of the car.
